With many years in both Commercial and Corporate Aviation, I am able to help you with your resume and career counseling. I have revamped Pilot, Flight Attendant, Maintenance, Sales, Management, Dispatcher and Charter resumes. My fees are reasonable and discussed on an individual basis.
Seeking a new job takes time and preparation. The first step is the resume.
• It is a calling card of what you have done and what you can offer an employer.
• The summary statement should use key words because they will match what your target market desires.
• One should show strengths that will open a new door.
• Professional experience should show dates, places and actions of what is and has been done at various jobs.
• Accomplishments, especially in the Sales arena, should also be included.
• Training and education should have dates.
• It should be neat and professional and resist the urge to use different fonts, colors and bolding.
• Check your spelling and choice of words.
• Use an appropriate email address, because it is important for your job search.
Coaching is also available.
• One needs to practice a “Three Minute Presentation” of what one’s background is all about.
• It is important to always know the company.
• Ensure your work history is consistent with your goals.
• Mock interviews are practiced with actual questions that might be asked addressing both strengths and weaknesses.
• Attire, attitude and question preparation are also discussed
• It is of utmost importance to be prepared for an interview.
